Questions and answers
What paint do I use on a cow skull?
Acrylic craft paint is fast-drying and becomes water-resistant when dry. Whether your paint or leaf suits bone or cast resin is on its label. This page gives no advice on cleaning a real skull.
Do these designs work on a resin cow skull?
Yes. Almost every design is placed by the forehead, the sockets, the nose bones or the horns, and a cast skull has all four.
What is the easiest cow skull design?
One from the Easy group: Horn tips dipped in one bright color needs tape and one color, and Fine speckle flicked over the whole skull needs an old toothbrush.
Which designs leave the bone showing?
Several under Metal leaf and one color: Copper forehead panel, the rest left natural, Gold-dipped nose with the dip line taped level, and Silver leaf on the eye socket rims and nowhere else.
