The peace sign in four strokes

Draw a circle. Drop one straight line through the center from top to bottom. From the center, add two shorter lines slanting down to the rim. Keep every line the same thickness. Once you have it, the sign fits inside a heart, a pendant or a field of daisies.

Colors and line

Warm, flat colors carry the look: orange, mustard yellow, pink, olive green and brown. Outlines are thick and rounded, with no sharp corners. Petals, letters and van roofs all get the same soft curve.

  • Tie-dye is a spiral of wobbly bands. Let the colors touch and blur at the edges.
  • Pencil a wavy baseline before you letter a word, then sit rounded capitals on it.
