Crown and carriage pumpkins
The stem does the work. Ring: the stem as a ruby held in four gold prongs makes it the jewel. Coach wheel from above: a gold spoke in every groove makes it the hub and the grooves the spokes. Half changed: gold scrolls creeping up from the base leaves the top bare, a pumpkin caught partway to a coach.
Castle and gown pumpkins
A turret on every rib: cone roofs in a ring around the top makes the whole pumpkin a castle, and Hedge maze from above: green rings around the stem is its garden. Ball gown skirt: swags pinned up with roses treats the pumpkin as the skirt.
Questions and answers
What are easy princess pumpkin painting ideas for kids?
Start with one shape and two colors. Rows of tiny gold crowns stamped over a pink coat repeats one small crown; Glass slipper drawn in white line on pale blue is an outline and a few shine marks. An adult stays close while children paint.
Can I paint a princess pumpkin without a face?
Yes. No design here paints a princess's face. One is a tiara across a parting of painted hair and nothing else, and Royal robe: purple with a white fur collar flecked black dresses the pumpkin and draws no one.
How do you paint a pumpkin as a carriage?
The pumpkin on four wheels is on the storybook character list. This list paints around it: Coach and four white horses circling a pale blue pumpkin, or Six white minis as the horses, a plume painted on each.
What colors suit a princess pumpkin?
Each design gives its colors first. Gold is on most of the crowns and carriages, five castles are gray stone, and the gowns run pink, pale blue, purple and mint. Any coat can be swapped for the painter's favorite color.
