How this list was compiled: Original list written for Draw This Next on 2026-09-30: two months of thirty dated prompts for one original character the visitor already has. Month one runs in an order: a reference drawing, the design, their daily life, their history, and the reference drawn again on day 30. Month two is thirty situations that show character. Every title opens with its day so the list reads in day order, and every hint ends with the question the drawing should answer. No community challenge list is copied or followed. Terms checked on 2026-09-30 and again on 2026-10-03 in English Wikipedia: model sheet, a document that shows a character's head and body at various angles (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Model_sheet), and silhouette, a solid shape of a single color whose edges match the outline of the subject (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silhouette). No title repeats a title in any other list on the site (checked with the day taken off). Licence: own work

How it works

This 30 day art challenge OC list follows one character you already have, from a reference drawing on Day 01 to a redraw on Day 30. The sheet lists every day in order, and Print this list puts it on paper with a box to tick for each.

Read the full guide

Start at Day 01

Begin at the top of the sheet with the full-body reference. The next nine days settle the design, the ten after that show their daily life, and the last stretch is their history. Day 30 repeats the reference, so the two can sit side by side. As a 30 day draw your OC challenge it needs no set month.

Shorter and longer

Stop after the design days for a 10 day OC drawing challenge, or after the daily life for a 20 day character drawing challenge. The menu under the button changes to month two, Put to the test: situations that show what your character is like.

  • Keep the Day 01 drawing where you can see it. Every later page should still look like the same person.
  • Each hint ends with a question. Answer it in the drawing, not in a caption.
  • Missed a day? Carry on with the next number and finish a day late.

Questions and answers

What is an OC art challenge?

A run of dated prompts for an original character of your own. Here each day asks one question about who they are, so the month ends with a character you know well and not with thirty unrelated pictures.

Does it work as a 30 day character drawing challenge for any OC?

Yes. No prompt names a world, so a human, an animal or a fantasy character fits. Month two has two other-world days, an orbiting station and a fairy-tale court, for anyone after a 30 day fantasy OC art challenge.

Can I use it as an OC-tober drawing challenge?

Yes. Month one has thirty days in order and names no date, so it can start on the first of any month. On a 31st day, draw again the day you liked least.

Is this an OC challenge generator?

Not a random one. The challenge is the fixed sheet, taken from Day 01 to Day 30. For a single draw a character challenge with friends, have someone call a number from 1 to 30 and draw that day.
