Questions and answers

What can you paint on a rock for a music lover?

Something for the place they practice. Rounded triangle pebble as a guitar pick with two initials takes one coat and a pen. Square stone turntable with a record pebble to set on it is a pair for a shelf.

How do you paint a music note on a rock?

Let a pebble be the note head. Paint a tilted oval pebble solid black and stand a thin stone at its right side: a quarter note. For a whole note, paint only a thick black ring on a pale oval and leave the stem off.

Which rock shape suits which instrument?

A round stone holds the coil of a French horn, and a flat round one is a tambourine. A squat stone is a snare drum, a brick-shaped one a harmonica, two egg-shaped ones are maracas, and a tall pointed one is a metronome.

How do you make song stones?

Paint one picture on a pebble for each song your group sings and keep them in a basket; pull one out and sing its song. A counting song gets a row of five matching pebbles that loses one each verse.
