How it works

These resin art ideas are written for adults. Each of the 60 pieces names its mold, its color or the thing set inside, and its number of layers.

DIY resin art ideas for a first pour

The group First pour keeps to one layer in one mold: a plain clear cube, a single round coaster in one solid color, a blank game die. These are the ones to begin with, because a single layer shows how a mold fills and how a tint looks at depth.

What the layer count tells you

Every hint opens with its layers. One layer is a single pour. Two layers put a flower, a shell or a picture on the first and cover it with the second. Three layers stand something upright, or build an ocean board in bands.

  • For mixing, curing and handling, the product's own label is the guide. This list gives ideas only: no ratio and no cure time.
  • A see-through tint shows what is set inside, and an opaque color hides it.
