How it works
This art challenge template is an empty grid: twelve numbered boxes under a Challenge line and a Character line. Nothing is printed under a box. Other sheets have 9, 16, 20, 25 or 30 boxes, numbered or plain.

Print the grid
Press Print the grid. Write the challenge's name on the Challenge line and, for one character drawn many ways, the character on the Character line.
Write the prompts yourself
As a drawing challenge template it carries no prompts. Write one in each box before you start, or hand the page to friends and let them fill the boxes in.
Pick the number of boxes
More, smaller and Fewer, larger under the grid step through six sizes, from nine large boxes to thirty small ones. Thirty is a box a day for a month. Plain sheets leave out the corner numbers. Used as an oc art challenge template, every box takes the same character with one thing changed: the outfit, the mood or the place.
- Write each prompt small in a corner, so the drawing keeps the rest of the box.
Questions and answers
What is an art challenge template?
A blank grid that sets the size of a drawing challenge: a line for its name, a line for the character or theme, and one empty box for each drawing. This one prints with 9 to 30 boxes.
Does the template come with prompts?
No. Every box is empty and no caption is printed under it, so the prompts are yours to write. The 25 expressions challenge on this site prints a caption under each box.
Is there a 30 day art challenge template?
Yes. The 30 box sheets have 5 boxes across and 6 down, numbered 1 to 30 or plain: one box for each day of a 30 day month.
Can I print the grid on A4 paper?
Yes. Paper size offers Letter and A4, and the boxes are square on both. The sheet prints upright with at least half an inch clear at every edge.
